About me

ALL ABOUT MY BOOKS

Hi there! I’m Silvia, born and raised in beautiful Bari, Italy in 1991. After graduating with top honors in Modern Philology at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, I decided to spread my wings and explore the world.

During a stint as an Activity Leader at the University of Bath in the UK back in July 2016, I caught the travel bug and decided to make a move to London. It was there that I pursued my love for storytelling by completing a post-graduate course in Journalism at the prestigious London School of Journalism (LSJ). While studying, I had the incredible opportunity to produce and edit a video for the Broadcasting Press Guild, sponsored by Virgin Television. I also put together a fun video inspired by the cult film Trainspotting, with London as backdrop.

Fast forward to today, I’m living the dream at FoodChain ID, a global provider for testing and certification for food safety and sustainability in the food industry, as the Product Marketing Manager for EMEA regions. Although the it’s a full remote job, I’m based in the cosmopolitan Milan. I love being part of such a big company at International level, while living in the inspiring economical Italian city.

But it’s not all work and no play! In my spare time, you’ll find me exploring new cultures, indulging my love for cinema and snapping photos of the world around me. I’m also an avid gamer and board game enthusiast, always up for a challenge with friends and more!

Oh, and did I mention? I’ve also written not one, but two books! “Biglietto di sola andata” was my debut novel, published by Albatros, followed by its sequel, “Biglietto di sola andata per due“, released by the same editor in 2024. Who knows what will be next.

I’m known for my go-getter attitude, passion for life and knack for building meaningful connections. Empathetic intelligence is my jam, I truly believe it’s the key to fostering strong relationships and making a positive impact on the world around us.
